Buy&Back

How Buy&Back fees work

A simple guide to who pays for Bags, BagPay, clipping, recurring payments and payouts.

Buy&Back platform fees, card-processing charges and withdrawal fees are separate. The checkout shows what the buyer pays; your payment breakdown and payout confirmation show what you receive. Individually agreed platform rates can differ from the standard rates below.

Bags and BagPay

The standard Buy&Back platform fee is 5% on paid Bag sales, including courses, memberships and digital products. BagPay embeds and payment links use the same owner-specific rate, without a second BagPay platform fee. Creating an account or a Bag has no setup or monthly platform subscription fee; free access has no percentage fee.

Who pays the platform fee?

With Express, Buy&Back deducts the platform fee from the charged payment, so the seller absorbs it. With Extra, the platform fee is added to the base product price and paid by the buyer. Card processing is separate in both modes, and the buyer sees the full total before paying.

Recurring payments and free trials

A paid subscription renewal incurs the applicable platform fee again, just like the initial paid purchase. A free trial has no percentage fee until a paid charge occurs. Stripe processing and any applicable Stripe Billing charges are separate; Stripe’s published pay-as-you-go Billing rate is 0.7% of Billing volume, but the actual account agreement determines whether that rate applies.

Clipping campaigns — 10%

The campaign owner pays a 10% Buy&Back platform fee from the total funded budget. Stripe’s actual processing fee is also deducted from that budget; the rest becomes the creator reward pool. For example, a €1,000 budget means €100 for Buy&Back and €900 for rewards before Stripe processing. Creators are not charged this 10% again on their approved rewards. Previously created funding quotes keep their recorded allocation.

Card processing shown at checkout

For Bag and BagPay card checkout, the current processing charge shown to the buyer is 1.5% + 0.30 for EU billing countries, 2.5% + 0.30 for the UK, or 3.25% + 0.30 for other countries. The fixed amount is in the checkout currency, and the percentage applies to the subtotal including any Extra platform fee. This is Buy&Back’s checkout calculation, not a promise of Stripe’s exact cost. Campaign funding instead deducts actual processing from the reward pool.

Stripe pricing depends on the account region

The following are published standard online-card examples, checked on 20 September 2026, not a universal Buy&Back tariff. The Stripe account’s country, card type and issuing country, payment method, currency conversion and any custom agreement determine the actual fee. For Bags, payment processing uses the seller’s connected account; clipping funding uses the platform account.

Stripe — Czech Republic

For a Czech Stripe account: standard EEA cards cost 1.5% + CZK 6.50, premium EEA cards 2.8% + CZK 6.50, UK cards 2.5% + CZK 6.50, and other international cards 3.15% + CZK 6.50. Currency conversion can add 2%.

Stripe — United States and other regions

For a US Stripe account, domestic online cards cost 2.9% + $0.30. International cards add 1.5%, and currency conversion adds 1% when required. These US rates do not apply merely because a buyer lives in the US. For other account countries and payment methods, use Stripe’s local pricing page.

Withdrawals and available balance

A standard Buy&Back bank withdrawal carries a fixed US$1.30 fee, converted to the payout currency and deducted from the requested amount. It is waived when both the Stripe account and receiving bank are in the US, or both are in Australia. The minimum request is US$20 equivalent. There is no second Bag-sale or clipping percentage fee on withdrawal. Only available, settled funds can be withdrawn; pending funds and campaign reserves are not available. Review the final fee and net amount before confirming.

Refunds, disputes and other costs

Refunds and disputes can reduce available earnings. Processing, currency-conversion, bank or dispute costs may apply under Stripe’s terms and the account agreement; do not assume every fee is returned with a refund. Any agreed affiliate commission is separate from the Buy&Back platform fee. Taxes are not platform fees. Check the individual payment record for the final breakdown, or contact support if anything is unclear.
